Loughborough Mighty Win Inaugural Midlands Challenge
The Might have won the Inaugural Midlands Challenge, with a comfortable 3-0 Victory against Birmingham Lions. Peter Dobson opened the scoring earlier in the game with a superb strike. Dobson scored a second midway through the first half with a good passing move. Loughborough dominated the rest of the match, with David Appleton scoring a late rebound to seal the results. Congratulations to captain Josh Ewens for his teams excellent season, George Torry also deserves a mention for being the leagues top scorer.

Loughborough Become 2nd XI Cup Champions
Loughborough Played Southgate at Chelsmford Hockey Club for the National Second XI cup. Loughborough conceded an early goal scored by J.Kloess, however soon bounced back to draw the scores level at 1-1 with a sublime drag flick by George Torry.
Oliver Ward then converted a Stroke after 28 minutes had been played. Will Arthur scored in the 39th minute from free play to make the score 3-1 to Loughborough. However a brief lapse in concentration allowed Southgate Back into the match, and close to the end they tied the game 3-3.

Loughborough 1XI Win Silver in BUCS Final
Loughborough played Exeter in the BUCS Final at Sheffield, and took the lead through a trademark Simon Faulkner drag-flick, however, Exeter equalised before half-time to draw the tie level with a well struck reverse stick effort. An enthralling second half saw Loughborough Loughborough conceded a second from a short corner. Dasvid Beckett scored P-Flick soon after to once agian bring the game level. The game became very disjointed as both sides tried to get the winner. In the final minute Exeter won palyed a seceral quick passes down the right before deflecting the ball into the back of the net, Exeter win the game 3-2.
