Recent graduate David Beckett is in the process of finalising his move to German Club HC Berliner, after four years at the club and 3 BUCS Gold medals. David has played a key role in the clubs recent success both in a coaching and playing Capacity. Blue-Weiss Berlin HC have managed to Secure Loughborough student Simon Faulkner on a years loan deal. Simon wishes to assure his fans across campus that he will be returning in twelve months to complete his studies.

The Pitch is Finished !
Work has recently finished on relaying the waterbased pitch. The work on the "Colosseum" began on the 16th of May, the new green and blue pitch looks fantastic. Thanks must be given to Thomas Blyth for his excellent before and after photos !

Old Boys Day 2011
Old boys day took place on Saturday 14th of May, the day was a great success with the Alumni fielding three sides, from the 1980's,90's and 00's. Photos from the day will follow shortly on the Gallery page.

Loughborough Win Gold!
Loughborough students win BUCS gold for fourth time five years! An accomplished 2-1 win against Durham University was a fitting end to an exceptional season.
Finalist David Beckett was awarded Man of the Match after an accomplished performance. Beckett scored the opener for Loughborough, with Chris Griffiths adding a second which people will be describing for years.A 69th minute Durham goal caused an anxious last few seconds for the numerous Loughborough supporters, however the goal turned out to be nothing but a consolation and as ever the celebrations carried on well into the night.
Mighty Midlands Challenge Champions
Ross Booth lead out a strong Mighty side against an almost unbeaten Beeston in the Midlands Challenge Final. Will Arthur and Alexander Boxall gave The Mighty an early 2-0 lead. However, Beeston scored just before the end of first half leaving the game well poised
The second half was played at a frantic pace withBeeston scoring an equalising goal from a deflected short corner midway through the second half. Despite chances for for both teams the game remained tied at 2-2 after 70 minutes.The lottery of flick sensued but The Mighty held their nerve winning 6-5 in sudden death.
The win meant the Mighty retained there crown as Midlands Challenge Champions. Congratulations to Beestons Sam Perrin for being the leagues top scorer.
BUCS 3s League Champions
The BUCS 3s have won the BUCS Midlands 2A league thereby securing promotion to 1A, the top midlands league.After a shaky start to the season the team entered Christmas with a solitary victory,two draws and a shockdefeat to the BUCS 4s team. However, a streak of seven victories in 2011 led the 3s to the top of the table. On the final day of the league season with an away trip to Lincoln 1s, a trio of 2nd half goals from JonathonPotts secured the league title and with it promotion. The BUCS 3s will now join the BUCS 2s in the BUCSMidlands 1A league for 2011/12 and compete with the best teams in the region.
Loughborough Play in the National Indoor Premier League
During England Hockey Leagues winter break the first team competed in the National Indoor Premier league.
